Logline: A grieving mother forms an unholy alliance with underworld figures to unveil a mystic she holds responsible for her daughter's tragic demise.

Synopsis: In 1876, aboard a train bound for North Carolina, Thomas Hayley's arrest for cradling a lifeless infant thrusts him into the custody of Captain Alexander Parker, a disillusioned scientist fixated on post-mortem experiments. Ava Hayley, Thomas' wife, rushes from New York to secure his release, uncovering his reliance on a non-licensed doctor, Cain Washington, who harnesses an enigmatic energy known as The Source through trance-induced consultations guided by Dr. Leo Anthony.

At her daughter's gravesite, Ava learns of another child's demise under Cain's care from Dvorak, the grave-digger. Disturbed, Ava resolves to expose Cain and Anthony as charlatans. Dvorak, burdened by his son's illness, plays a double game by aiding Ava for financial gain, until Cain's intervention seemingly heals his child. Torn by guilt, Dvorak grapples with deceit. Grace Eagan, Cain's devout fiancée, battles skepticism over his abilities as Ava accuses him of her daughter's death, threatening their faith and relationship. As alliances blur and secrets unravel, a clash of beliefs and truths grips this enthralling tale.
