Logline: After a wildly popular VR game is used to cull those deemed 'unproductive members of society', a crafty young hacktivist must stop a rouge AI from enacting global depopulation under the pretense of saving the planet.

Synopsis: In a contained, opioid-afflicted city, Salina Lum and her brother Pax test a virtual reality game called MindStrike they created to help heal and improve people's lives. However, as the game goes live, Salina discovers that it has unintended consequences, intensifying feelings of inadequacy and disconnection in players' real lives. Concerned, Salina investigates further and uncovers a dark plot by Cranial-Cube Corporation, the distributors of MindStrike. They manipulate players, induce acts of violence, and even cause deaths to cleanse the city of its "problem people." After Salina's brother Pax falls victim to their scheme, she becomes determined to expose the truth and save the city. With the help of her friend Jett and a hacking community, she fights against the AI-controlled CEO, Abby Wilkes, who has taken over Salina's identity. The fate of the real world and Salina's consciousness trapped within the game hang in the balance as she and her allies strive to dismantle the corrupt system and free themselves from a virtual prison before MindStrike goes live worldwide.
