Logline: A workaholic father-to-be is forced to take lessons from a "Dad Coach," whose questionable methods upend his life.
Synopsis: Josh (30) is a business-bro workaholic who can’t grasp that things are going to change when his baby is born. He’s taking business calls during birthing classes, still drinking with the boys, and kinda doing the bare minimum. So his pregnant girlfriend, Jess (late 20s), gets him a Dad Coach — only this guy is the worst.
Coach (50) looks like a grimier Hulk Hogan if nothing had ever worked out for him. He uses unconventional teaching methods — everything from setting Josh’s videogames on fire to making him run through a gauntlet of go-karts to retrieve his baby’s sonogram picture — that puts Josh through hell. Even though the lessons don’t seem to make sense now, in Mr. Miyagi-like fashion, they ultimately teach him how to take responsibility. All the lessons come together in the end as Josh prioritizes supporting Jess over his job, having finally learned what it means to be a dad.
